First off, suckerfish get big, so if you don't have a big tank, you need to get one or find a new home for him or else he won't survive or be healthy. They eat algae. You can find algae wafers at pet stores in the fish food section. Sometime people leave their tank lights on too long and sometimes this can cause excessive algae growth as well to feed the pleco. Either way, make sure you have enough room for him!

you need to drop some zuchini, squash, cucumber, or egg plant in the tank. when a pleco gets to be 6 months and older it needs something other than alge. cut the veggies into like 1/2 thick and drop them in there with a plant weight on there. do this 2-3 times a week then your pleco should be happy.

or if you want the cheap and easy way buy alge waffers and they may or may not eat them..good luck
