Thoroughly clean the area using soap and water (ordinarily applied using a cloth and a vigorous scrubbing motion).
Rinse all the foam and soap away, using a gentler rubbing motion.
Dry the area thoroughly. Depending on your particular situation, this may ordinarily be accomplished by using a cloth towel (sometimes preceded by using clean hands to "squeegee" the excess water away) and/or a hair dryer (handheld device sometimes called a "blow dryer").
Apply antiperspirant. Note that your body may initially respond well to one particular antiperspirant for only a limited number of applications; thereafter, to maintain antiperspirant effectiveness, you may have to use a different formulation.
If you have to change formulations to maintain effectiveness, try to find 3 or 4 that work relatively well, and rotate through them.
NOTE: Deodorant is NOT the same as Antiperspirant, although most antiperspirants include a deodorant. Deodorants simply remove or mask odors, but they do nothing to address the problem of perspiration (from which odor derives).
Even when the only criteria is odor management/reduction/elimination, antiperspirant/deodorant combinations are MUCH more effective than deodorant-only products.

If you are talking about excessive sweating, that can be caused by a medical condition known as hyperhydrosis which has several treatment options including botox to stop the sweating for up to 6 months. You can ask your family doctor or dermatologist about this.
You can also try a product called Drysol, this temporarily parilyzes the sweat glands for up to two weeks and is available over the counter at most pharmacies.

deodorant/antiperspirants (obviously) and I used to have the same problem when I was younger. If you drink alot of soda and eat alot of foods with alot of sodium that seems to make it worse as does alcohol. So if you cut those down a bit and drink more fluids it should help a little bit

Certain Dry worked wonders for me. You have to use it as directed though (at night) or it won't work all that well.
