She came to hate Lestat because he had made her a vampire when she was still a child. Her mind grew and developed into womanhood, but her body was always that of a helpless little girl.
She died by being placed in the sun - vampires can't withstand sunlight. The REASON she was placed in the sun was supposedly because she had tried to kill Lestat (to kill another vampire is a no-no), but in reality, Armand just wanted her out of the way so he could have Louis to himself.

Claudia and Lestat were more or less in a fight for Louis' affections. Claudia was in love with Louis, though she was too young to be with him and always would be. Lestat found Louis to be his only friend, and he treasured that friendship. Claudia felt that Lestat was ruining her and Louis, because Lestat more or less told each of them what to do and expected them to do it, thus she hated him. She also hated Lestat because Lestat turned Louis into a vampire, who in turn turned Claudia into a vampire, causing them suffering. If you read the book, you'll learn that Lestat didn't want Claudia to die. That was all Armand, who killed her so that Louis would join his group.

She killed Lestat and The Paris vamps felt it was "forbidden to make one so young."
Lestat was the one who fed her the vampire blood, so that is why she hated him. She could forgive Louis for draining her because she understood that was what vampires needed to do.
She was frustrated because she would never grow up into a woman.

She was a freak. She was too young and had no respect for the old ways, that is why she poisoned Lestat with the dead boy. She knew what it would do to him. They figured this behavior would only continue. Had Lestat been there they might have killed him too for making her a vampire.

In the movie, she was taken out by the other vampires because she thought she killed Lestat, and one of them read her mind.
