Venus Fly Traps, Sundews and most other carnivorous plants are from bogs where the soil is water logged, Very Acidic and Nitrogen and Oxygen Deficient. So the only thing I can think of is a possible conflict in the pH levels and dissolved gas or nitrogen levels.
You might be able to get around this by placing your plant inside a plastic container that can be buried and hidden.Kind of a (root) terrarium inside a terrarium. The planting medium for such plants should be peat moss,(acidic) and the live moss they come in should be fine.
I have never tried anything like what you are planning so I wish you luck.

i think they can because the fish would be in water and the trap would be on land, where little fishies can't go. Also the venus fly trap doesn't move much, except for the mouth, so it won't reach the fish. Go w/ ur instinct

Yes, they can, but the humidity needs to be high and the terrarium needs to be warm. Keep a close eye on your temps and humidity, feed you flytrap often, and you should be fine.
