the news is talking about how some bears are not hibernating this year due to unusually warm winter in the northeast...?

Bears don't hibernate 1. if the weather stays warm and 2. if they are still able to find food. I live in the mountains of the northeast and we have this problem more and more as humans encroach more and more on their habitat. The bears raid garbage cans and bird feeders. We are told to bring our bird feeders in as we would be baiting the bears. Some folks around here have had a bear living under their deck.

They will be really tired come spring then won't they? I sure hope our bear here in Minnesota are still hibernating.

Same thing if we do not sleep. Cranky, irritable,and could become a killing machine. But instincts override that possibility.
