What are your opinions/observations about this political cartoon dipicting Nancy Pelosi and Dick Chaney? I'm working on analyzing this cartoon but only the obvious stands out (dems win back congress and pelosi is a bit cocky about it). Any background or additional comments are welcomed. Thanx in advance

It is a subtle slam to each of them. To Pelosi for the housewife suggestion and her perceived priorities. To Cheney for his stoic conservatism and unwillingness to believe in change,

I'm thinking of the Speaker's position as 3rd in line after the VP to take over if the Prez is incapacitated or whatever...maybe that she's settling in for the long haul, and may someday be a candidate for Prez or VP herself. Cheney would be very threatened by her new stature, especially as supported by Dem Congress.
