Ya..their out. But three diamonds are nice. Like their birth stones on the side and a huge diamond in the middle, or two small on the sides and one big in the midddle.

Well, wearing gold jewelry is in now. But I don't really like gold rings as engagement rings but as fashion rings.
However, I'm not the woman that you want to propose to. So I can't really give you the answer. It's better to ask your woman if she likes it or not. Propose to her first and then go find the engagement ring that she likes with her. I know you probably want to buy an engagement ring first to surprise her but if you don't know what to get, there's always a choice for you to take her to a jewelry store. A lot of women acutally like the kind of idea, you know because they can get the engagement ring they really want :)

My preference is silver. White Gold is nice, but I am not a big jewelry person, so Silver works just fine.
In other words....yes, I think Gold Engagement rings are tacky.

No, but it all depends on personal preference. I like gold but I would like to get a platinum or silver engagement ring.

It depends on the style! but nowadays I think white gold and platinum are more popular! gold is still in though just make sure it has a nice design -- or if you want to buy a ring look through magazines with ur girl and ask her what style she wants!

It depends on the girl...some prefer gold, some prefer white gold, platinum, etc. Ask her! You wouldn't want to get a girl the type of ring someone ELSE likes, would you?

Who cares if they're "tacky" to anyone? The ring shouldn't matter that much anyways. What should matter is the meaning behind the rings... the symbolization, not the metal or carat.
