i have no carpets. I like a smooth surface. its easier to clean. No vaccuum. you just need a duster to clean up the cobwebs

well it doesn't always have to does it.. I mean the carpet get's more sun that the drapes so sometimes they get a bit lighter.. wait.. I think I'm talking about something different than you...

I wouldn't match...I would pick a complementing color. If you match it'll look too hotelish! If you have pink carpet...just ignore it and make sure the rest of the room matches/compliments! LOL!
