i would think highly unlikely, and here's why:
Most of the world powers have pretty much the same technology. wars in the future will most likely be similar to the situation in iraq, where we will be fighting groups of people rather than countries.
But there is the possibility that it might happen, but it is highly unlikely we will experience anything like world war II anytime soon, so i wouldnt worry yourself about it

We are in WW III right now. It is a different kind of war.
Talk about WW IV. It will probably happen sooner than the gap between the II and the III.

the possibility of another world war is great. i hope it wont happen. human just cant stop fighting with each other. this is a problem that cant be solved. i wish and hope i am wrong.
