and most Muslims are harsh on their fellow. they judge and act violent. i mean like the terrorists.. they dont eat pork which make them an obedient follower of Islam, yet they dont stand as a good example to humanity.

Actually, many Muslims do not follow all of the rules. That's why you catch them in non-Muslim countries drinking or looking at the girls in bikinis at the beach....

The original reason is health. After semitic tribes left Egypt, they lived for a long time in desertic regions.
The pigs that came along couldn't refresh anymore in the Nile's clean water, they had to resort to mudpits full of feces, urine, and some other nasty things. They also stopped eating grain and fruit and started scavenging for discarded food, feces and some other non-apropiate things.
After some time, people who ate those pigs became sick. During that time illness was considered divine punishment, therefore eating pork was something God didn't like.
Most cases of food forbidden by religion have valid public health reasons, only a few are derived from superstition.
As for the second part of your statement, your understanding of the Islamic world is pretty poor, let me try to shed some light
Harsh and violent on their fellow... you probably saw the video of some punishment on CNN. This happens in all underdeveloped societies, regardless of religion. Read about the KKK, the spanish inquisition, and some other nice lessons on human behavior.
Terrorism and Islam have been regarded as synonims by the GW Bush administration, why? because arabic countries are highly convenient boogey-men; you may go, kill them and steal their oil without remorse.
Most americans are happy with a shallow good-evil explanation, please don't be one of those.

Pork is considered unclean. If they eat or touch pork, then they don't get their reward in the end. Definitely no virgins.
Interestingly, I'm surprised the military doesn't use pork as a weapon against Islamic extremists. They would most likely stop fighting, since there would be no purpose without the virgins. If pork didn't work as a weapon against Islamic extremists, then it is safe to deduct those extremists aren't really Islamic. History has proven pork does work against Islamic extremists.

The Quran prohibits the consumption of pork in no less than 4 different places.
' Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked a name other than that of Allah. [Al-Qur’an 5:3]'
The above verses of the Holy Qur’an are sufficient to satisfy a Muslim as to why pork is forbidden.
not all terrorists are muslims. terrorists think in a different way. they fight because they want things to be their way. for example in a video sent by terrorists, they wanted the Jews to leave Israel, because they think Israel belongs to the muslims. they also think the other muslims aren't obedient followers of Islam. they also think we are not a good example of humanity.

Who told you that they judge act in a violent way, they don't. Just Media portrays then so, a war if you know what I mean Muslims must appear so violent so that when we say we will go to war with them we have major consent.
Eating pigs and not eating pigs is a condition in a religion, and each religion has its conditions, they might seem queer but that's how religions go...

Orthodox Jews don't eat port either - but they don't fly airplanes full on innocent people into buildings either. Your pork theory doesn't hold water (then again most Muslims are not terrorists either). pork is also forbidden in judaism; they consider the pig is a dirty animal and also not healthy as it has lots of fats. does Bush stand for a good example to humanity?

Back then it was hard to cook pork properly b/c eating undercooked pork causes an infection of parasites called trichinosis
Now days it is pretty much safe and easy to prepare.

The quran doesn't say why, but Surah 5 list other forbidden items like: blood and animals killed by other animals and all verses say that Allah is merciful that if you must eat to sustain your life Allah can forgive.
