How can you be engaged if you are still married to the first guy? Get the divorce, then get engaged, then have a wedding.

Sure. There's nothing wrong with that so long as the divorce is final before the vows are said. And don't let people tell you it's too soon after the divorce. My first divorce was final in July and I married in August. We've been totally happy for over 10 years now. Congratulations, by the way.

Go for it. Weddings are a pain in the but and take alot of planning. You'll need all the time you can get.

As long as you're sure that the divorce will be final by then - you can plan all you want. But wouldn't it be a bummer to do all this planning, and then discover that some monkey wrench delayed your divorce date? LOL

if you will be divorced by then i would. i planed my 2nd wedding while going through a divorce. and it worked just fine. BUT make sure you are divorced by then. cuz if it gets delayed (i mean the divorce) that can mess up things as far as dates and stuff.
