My boyfriend and I are arguing because its his favorite movie and I claim it is, he says its not because its an adam sandler movie. what do you think?

I don't know, I'd call it a "screw-ball romantic comedy," which is usually a fancy way of saying "chick flick." However, it IS an Adam Sandler movie, which is a "tough guy"'s only saving grace. It's got material for both guys and girls.
I know a LOT of guys who like this movie, and they don't give a crap if it's a "chick flick" or not - it's just a good movie, period. Who cares?

It's not a chick flick to the degree that Sleepless in Seattle or The Notebook are. Yes, the storyline revolves around a romance, but it's an Adam Sandler movie for crying out loud! I think of it more like a comedy than a true chick flick. My husband liked it.

yes its a chick flick!!
im a chick, i didnt find it likeable, kind of boring and alot like ground hog day
he just replays the same day over and over but it was a love film addressed at woman i guess. not many men could handle all that lovey dovey mushy stuff to long
i to am a adam sandler fan but this wasnt his best movie i think i have seen it twice once becouse its adam sandler second time there wasnt anything on tv.
but i can see why some one would watch it so many times or call it there favorite film.
but thats just me other people may love it
to me sweet home alambama was my fav****
watch it over and over its a chick film also but a good one

Give it up. Let him have it. Yes it is a chick flick, but guys won't admit to watching them. EVER. And liking them is out of the question. Just drop it and spare his ego.

I don't think it is. I understand the romance aspect but its still a comedy. I can't quite categorize it as a chick flick.

chick flicks involve sappy love stories with finding your one true love. This indeed has that so YES it is a chick flick.

You can call it a chick flick, but Rob Schneider has lines like
"Aquariums make me super horny!" so I don't think so.

its part guy film, but mainly chick flick. thats cute he likes that movie! i love it too!

yes, but guys should watch it to see what a girl really needs and wants from a guy....plus there are some pretty funny parts to it.
