I`m 15 and i have crooked teeth. My teeth aren`t terribly crooked. If i turn to a certain angle, they "seem" straight. But if i turn my face to the other side my front tooth is obviously not straight x[ . And my problem is that i like to smile, and i smile a lot cause i never think about my teeth when im smiling.. i just can`t help but SMILE. However, i`m just wondering if anyone thinks that someone with crooked teeth should just stop showing their teeth and start smiling with their mouths closed. I mean.. i want to look attractive, but confident at the same time even with teeth that aren`t so perfect. And my family can`t afford braces either so that`s off my to do list..

This may sound corny, but the most important thing you
said in your question is that you like to smile. The most
attractive thing about anyone is their personality, character,
friendliness, attitude, and so on. What's on the inside counts
more than what's on the outside in the long run.

Sure, we all want to look our best and that's natural. Just do the
absolute best with what you've got and keep right on smiling!

Having crooked teeth isn't something to be ashamed of. Some people here have crooked teeth but then they still turn out to be beautiful. I once saw a movie where the lead actress has crooked teeth yet she is still very beautiful. So all you have to do is to feel good and confident about yourself. If you really want to have straight teeth maybe someday you could save up for braces.

you may have to wait until you have a job to get them fixed, but nothing is wonderful as teeth that are always brushed and a breath that is always fresh, I brush three to four times a day, crest has out a new mouth wash that smells so good and keeps you with a good taste in your mouth, I like the vanilla crest toothpaste, used with a medium crest toothbrush, be careful with the enamel on the teeth, don't brush hard...also call around with the dentist and see if they can help you with a payment plan, explain your problem. with a part time job, they might work with you, as a part timer you could easily make a 100.00 a week, and work of yourself.....good luck.....don't forget to ask about bonding, it is a new way to correct problems....

Hey as ong as you love to smile then your doing great thats means that you arn't as worried about your teeth as you think you are. You dont want to become one of those people that you see (we all know those people) that either cover their mouth with their hand or laugh with their mouths closed when you can see then struggling not to show their teeth. Enjoy your firends and having fun with them you will have plenty of time in the future to look into doing something with your teeth if its even honestly important to you then.

Everyone wishes they had a perfect smile.. perfect body... perfect face... etc. The fact is, no one is perfect. You don't HAVE to be perfect.
So basically, you must live with what you cannot change. We can't do anything for you. So work on the things that you CAN change, and forget what you can't. It's no use worrying about it, all that is doing is making you self concious, when you need to be confident.
NEVER stop smiling! People can tell that it's forced and fake. Plus... you never know who is falling in love with your smile... ;)

well you are screwed because if you can't get braces...the next thing is that invisiline and then the next would be veneers and all of those are more money than braces. ...you shouldn't stop showing our teeth when you smile..you will look more confident by smiling big rather than hiding your smile and loooking pissed or sad all the time...it will show you are uncomfortable about your teeth if you try to hide them

there are plenty of adults these days that wait until they are older to get braces.

i think a true beautiful smile is about the joy and happiness, not the teeth. (ok that sounded corny but its true)

i was watching americas next top model today and the winner of cycle 6, danielle, had a huge gap between her two front teeth. but it made her unique, and she won!

You can go to the store and buy these things that you put in your mouth at night that straighten your teeth when you sleep then you take it out when you wake up. I used one for a while and it worked really well! I highly recomend doing that.

Depends on how crooked they are. Sometimes it may be attractive if its a little bit crooked, but not often

OK...well...have ur parents talk to dentist that is willing to take payments for your dental work. I am sure some sort of financial plan can be figured out.
