My friend has been dating a married man. He has been having his cake and eating it too. His wife found out (she told her)and now he is furious with and won't see her. My friend is heartbroken, drinking herself into oblivion. She says she is "afraid that he won't come back and afraid he will come back". How can I help her?. Don't be judgmental. She knows she was wrong. She is hurting really bad. I don't want her to ruin her life over this. She is an alcoholic and was sober, working, and taking care of herself until she met him. What advice can you give?

First of all married men should be a hands off policy to begin with. If he cheats on his wife with you he will cheat on you with someone else, eventually. tell your friend to snap out of it and find someone who is single and enjoys being with her and has the time to be with her, without anyone finding out and getting angry.

You are a great friend too. More people need friends like you..

It sounds like he wasn't a positive influence........point that out to her. He's not very commited, point that out, too. He'll cheat again. Most marriages that spring from infidelity do not last a year. Tell her to start off with a clean slate and avoid the guys with baggage.
