We all see/saw them in the television, read about them in newspapers/books but do these people actually exist? I mean people with independent will. Or are they all made up characters? Are they actors? Is actually Bush saying what he wants to on TV or is his speech already prepared by some one else? Was that Saddam who was hanged? Was it Osama who had organised those blasts in Kenya, Tanzania and planned 9/11, etc? Or are they all just actors in a big drama of which we are a foolish audience?? Is this political world actually real? Do people who protest against war/cruelty against animal actually protest by their own free will or are they just hourly paid actors?? What is actually going on?

This is an excellent question in terms of the philosophical question of the world. But thing is what happens in the world really does go on. No one acts and no one pretends. However that does not mean that it is not manipulated. Osama may not exist but a leader to plan the attacks on multiple occasions such as 9/11 does. Saddam may have not been hanged and tried, but someone did organize and perform the attacks in Iraq multiple years ago. Bush may not be our president but a leader of the USA does exist. Just because you see a face doesn't mean that is who it is. In the early nineteenth century there were things called political machines that controlled the US politics inside and out. These machines were able to get their nominees and presidents elected and such. The political machines were made up of a boss and his advisors and helpers. However these political machines did not at all participate in the affilitaion of the political party itself. This is an example to show that for example as you earlier stated, politics, could be controlled.
My personal opinion is that in today's world there could be people behind the scenes using leaders as figure heads but overall it is the person you see in the media that must perform the duties and the majority of the work today.
Iraq does exist, soldiers are dying, there are no actors. Everything is reality, but how much of the reality we see is the other question.

I have no real reason to believe that they aren't unless I desire to be hypothetical. The real question is, what purpose would it serve the government by making these people up? Why would they want to make these things up if they are in fact doing so? To scare us? Why? What would that do? To make it harder to take a flight somewhere? It's definitely done that, but how does that help the government in any way whatsoever? I don't think it does. What I do know is that there is a war that men are being sent to, there were actually planes flown into buildings, and there is a man named Bush who speaks on television. As to whether he writes his speeches or not, I don't know, but doesn't really matter. He is real. Again, back to the original point. What purpose would it serve for these people not to be real? I can't think of any reason for them not to be real, therefor I think they're real.

Ok, politics are full of acts and made up stories and behind the scene stuff.. But, Saddam did die. and the WTC did fall, etc. The intentions of the people involved, like Bush, etc, are maybe questionable (like what they tell us is not what they believe, especially in Bush's case). But if you believe all this is not real, there s no war in iraq, no one dying there.. etc. then.... I think you lost believe in the whole world. The world is a fckd up place and life is becoming a looong or even non ending nightmare, but it does exist.

Our president was an actor from 1980-1988. Beyond that---I really don't know. I am just one of the peeps who is making a living and watching too much television. I don't know any of those guys personally. I can, however, confirm that it's all a series of pictures and sound flashing before my eyes and inundating my ears. Speaking of TV--pass the fatty, Abhay! You're bogarding...

I earnestly suggest you watch a recent true-life filmed documentary: "The Matrix" which explains that - as the imaginary band, the Beatles, put it: "nothing is real; nothing to get hungup about."
