You should not have 2 antivirus programs running on the same PC. Don't know about Nod32 but AVG is not a really good scanner ----despite what people said , i use AVG a long time and believe me me, i know--- It has a low detection rate of virus. Uninstall both of these programs, download this free antivirus app here http://www.free-av.com >>>>>>>>>>Run the full scan to see if it can see the same virus and then you'll know which is right.

I do not know AVG or NOD32. But maybe there are other possibilities like for instance:
- the first program you used, had deleted the virus or detained the virus in a isolated folder without you knowing of it.
- the second program you used, has not been updated with the newest virusdefinitions in its database.

But if you already have considered these possibilities than i would advice you to believe in nod32 but delete the virus using avg just for safe keeping.

I think AVG.

My own computer has McAfee and AVG. When I scanned in McAfee it detected only one virus but on AVG about 4. The thing is my McAfee is not updated for a few months because the subscription has expired and I now use AVG as my
anti-virus program and it has been updated every week.

I think that the ability of the anti-virus program to detect viruses depends on "update".

Your problem starts with having two AV programs installed, they cause conflict with each other.

Uninstall one of them, then run your AV again. NOD32 is the better program and I would keep that one.

You should only have one antivirus program installed or they will look at each other's virus signature (list of known virus) and think that you have a virus.

AVG is crap!

In test,

after test,

after test,

after test,
http://www.pcworld.com/article/124475-1/article.html ,
etc. etc. etc, ad nauseam.

AVG has proven itself to be a mediocre performer at best. Missing almost 20%, while trying to detect known malware, in some tests. Not to mention almost non-existent heuristic detection and infrequent "once-a day" updates.

AVG = Average, at best!
