I still am waiting for iPods to be a bit more affordable before I run out and buy one.
Plus... mp3's are cool and all... but there's something more REAL about CD's. You have to accept the album as a whole, none of this buying the one or two songs you like. CD's make you appreciate true talent and effort, something that is being cast aside for prepackaged music that is sure to sell to the masses, but really shows no musical genius. Marketing genius, but no heart.
CD's are tangible, and even when I do switch over to mp3's (I'm sure it's only a matter of time), I will insist on buying CD's still. I can't name one person who would prefer someone making them a "playlist" as opposed to making a mixed CD. It's just not the same.
As long as CD's don't go the way of eight-tracks (google it), I'll stick with them.

Sometimes I will buy used CD's but I havent bought a new one in over a decade. The prices are too high. So I will buy used ones locally or online. I convert them to mp3 on my pc though.

I do. Of course I'm old at thirty three. Cd's are cool. Ipods are well the new mans cd's. I pay fifteen bucks for a disk full of music..... but it's my disk for the rest of my life. there is a trade. i also use music systems such as the mp3, but I am not ready to trady my tangable music yet.

They're still used and purchased, but CD use has rapidly declined in recent years because of the popularity of digital music. They will eventually become almost obsolete, like cassette tapes, 8 tracks, and records.

I always buy CDs. Call me old-fashioned, but I like to have the nice booklet and be able to feel my property in my hand.

IDK how many ppl still get CD's. I know I haven't bought a Cd, music or data, since I got my iPod nearly a year and a half ago. I just use limewire for music and I don't need cd's to burn stuff on anymore.
