Depending on where you live there could be quite a few that would'nt be illegal to possess or use in your own home (if you go out in public you could be arrested). Problem is just about all of them will destroy your liver (it wont take long) and if you don't know what you're doing you will probably either kill yourself or you wont get the effect you're looking for.

Absinthe is tricky, its technically not illegal to possess it in the U.S. but it is illegal to produce it. The importation of it is tricky but there are companies in eastern europe that import, I remember Maxim had an article on it years ago with the names of the companies, my wife made me throw them away... but that is an entirely different conversation.

theres a drink called absinthe thats supposed to be hallucenogenic u mix it with sugar and water to make it drinkable, its also known as The Green Fairy, because it turns green when u mix it with the water,
