go for it. it doesn't matter if his mother doesn't love you. she's not the one you'll be living with the rest of your life. and besides it's your bf that's going to make you happy and not her. time will come that she has to accept reality that she cannot do anything with somebody else's heart. so enjoy and get married and have kids. soon when you have kids, his mother will enjoy having grandkids and eventually she will learn to love you.

Understand this one fact, he is a manchild, a mothers dream and probably the only child, remember this always : Mothers are always right. do you understand that saying?
it has nothing to do with you, it is about him. (what mommy says, he'll do.) you have no ties that bind with this young man as of yet, momma does not wish to let go of her baby,
Listen to the words "Her Baby"
the most important factor in her life, even if he is'nt the only child.
he's your boy friend? did his mother like you then as his girlfriend? now that he wants to marry you, she feels as though she is losing something, but not to fret. if you two do decide to marry, either she'll come around or she won't. All in all, he wants to marry you! and that is the most important fact at this point.

Lemme ask you one question: which is more important - a girlfriend that he loves for only few years or maybe months, or a mother who'd been sacrificed so much for her son and even be patient to give birth to him for 9 months and took care of him in all these years? You won't like this to happened when your son wanted to marry someone who you don't approve do you?

If you both love each other nothing else matters. Difficult mothers-in law are a universal problem.

Well I would say" who cares" but a mean mother-in-law can make your life hell. I have witnessed it with other people and they said if they had it to do all over again they would have ran.

I'm confused - are you marrying your b/f, or his mother? Your b/f needs to deal with his mother, and set the rules and boundaries.

Your name here is BABY and you mention his mother. End of story. Who does his laundry? Guaranteed it's not him. And whoever does it is the one he'll stay with.
