This file has appeared on my desktop, I don´t know how and what it is for...I wonder if it is not a problem to erase it...

If someone can help me, I would be grateful.

A DAT. file is out of the registry in windows. If it is on your desk top go on ahead and delete it with no prob. As long as you didn't play around with the regedit. In Run. Six , RUN is usually for advanced computer people. But if it is on your desk top don't worry about it. Desk tops icons usually tell you if your going to delete a program or a icon.
