A Dutchy is Euro slang for a marijuana cigarette or a joint. A popular song in the 1980s had the lyrics" pass the Dutchy to the left hand side". That was a reference to the custom of passing a joint around a circle in a clockwise direction. This custom comes from an earlier Rastafarian custom to pass with the left hand because the heart is on the left thus you are giving from the heart. The term Dutchy comes from the fact that cannabis is officially tolerated in Holland.
