for as long as man has forgotten god, we will not know the answer. only god knows. worldly woes come because i think we have left spirituality on the side. [lets not mix spirituality with religions] religions have left a gaping hole to spirituality and therefore led men to be what a beast he is today. spirituality will lead us to god. it is tough to separate the two. therefore young ones think that what we do is the right thing. because we lack spirituality that we start inventing many things that the next generation is doing. look at the reality shows. its simply because we dont have anything better to do. remember that we are the only animal with creative thought. therefore we can have positive creative thoughts or the opposite. so its up to us. if we see god in a different light as a guiding principle we would be able to accomplish more. but some religion has really did a disservice to god that many of us are turning away from religion. we must go back to the essence of religion. it comes from the word relegare - to unite. but all the old religions are dividing the world further. we must keep on searching and acting in the right manner and words. the next generation has lots of repair work to do!?
