My friend and I are planning to on heading out to Seattle this summer, and we found out it would be cheaper to drive, but neither one of us has the newest automobile. Is there any cheap way of finding out if my van could make it there and back, or if it's going to die in the middle of Wyoming. Both of us have driven long distances before, and we are going to try and do it under 40 hours, so the car is going to be running almost non-stop.

Ok.... to clarify, we're going to have to stop and get gas and such, so it's not going to be 40 hours straight... but we're not planning on stopping at any motels and such. We do need to stop and get gas and such, and normally we take at least a 20-30 min to get out of the car and walk around and such. The last time that we did it, that was about every 2-3 hours or so.
And I really don't care to hear about my driving habits, the question was about the van. We have both driven like this before for long distances of 30+ hours, and nobody's dead. With 2 drivers it was 10 hours on / 10 hours off... and when we had 3... it was a perfectly managed 8 hour shifts. The question wasn't are we able to drive that distance, cuz we know we can. The question was how do I know that my van can.
