For the last couple of year's, the WWE has been going to entertain the troops, to show their support of this war. Do you think Vince McMahon sends the wrestlers over there for publicity, in hopes that by going there, it'll encourage people to join the army, navy, air force or marines, just to see the WWE every year? Or do you think he doe's it out of the goodness of his heart?

Actually, JBL set up that whole idea 4 years ago. So it wasn't even really Vince's idea. I think he does it to support the troops and keep them goin' throughout the war, deaths, and all that stress in the environment that they're in. It's just their way of sayin' "Thank You" and givin' back to the troops.

I really hope you don't honestly think he does it to get people to join the army. Honestly, anyone who would join the army just to see their show once a year would be out of their damn minds. Besides, it's not like every single member of the army, navy, air force, and marines gets to see the show. If you didn't notice, the crowds are only about one or two squadrants in size.

Vince considers the trip to Iraq a more important show than Wrestlemania (he was quoted in saying that). I think Vince does get a lot of publicity for doing it but really does it to show his support. The superstars that go overseas are not forced to go. They can choose not to go if that is what they want but to many it is one of the most insperational shows that they perform. I think it is great that Vince has taken that one show and made it into a yearly event.

It wasn't Vince's idea to do Tribute to the Troops. It was JBL's. He suggested it to Vince a few years ago. Vince was presented with an award after this year's show and he gave it to JBL. I think Vince and the wrestlers do it because they care and you certainly don't see other athletes going over there and risking their lives to bring a little joy to these men and women who long for any semblance of home they can get.

Also, the wrestlers are not required to go. They can politely refuse.

I think he does it for publicity, but not to make people join. They really advertise when they are going over there. But hey, I'm glad to support anything that offers our troops some entertainment.

He does it for the publicity it brings him and the WWE, not the publicity for the armed forces. I guarantee you that if he wasn't getting some kind of profit from it, be it publicity or money, he wouldn't go.
