So, I have a panther chameleon that's pretty close to full grown...but he doesn't seem to eat a whole lot. I'm not sure how much an average adult panther chameleon normally eats though. He normally eats between about 5-7 crickets a day..is this not enough? Does anyone know?

It just seems like he used to eat a lot more...and I'll be extremely sad if he has a disease or something...is loss of appetite a sign of anything serious...?

Being that you say, it is almost adult, I would say that that is a good amount of crickets. I don't think you are having a problem at all, worked in a pet shop, specializing in reptiles.

Well 5-7 crickets a day is a lot. Actually its more than enough...lol. If hes eating that mush a day..than I really don't see anything wrong. I'd say hes a pretty healthy eater. But then again..Panthers are probably the hardest chameleons to handle. Hope this helped.

That sounds like quite a bit, actually. If you do have any concerns, I would advise you to check your temps, humidity, and make sure you are providing UVA/UVB lighting and calcium supplements. But either way, that many crickets seems like enough.
