i dont think that its normal--but it sounds like its just the way your body operates. i only have one every 3 days myself and i thot that was a long time! the only thing id be concerned about is that the toxins in the feces are staying in your colon and intestines longer than they should. i dont know if its harmful or if your body is re-absorbing some of the toxins because of the length of time they are staying in you before being eliminated.. but if youre alreading eating a healthy diet and getting plenty of fibre and water, then i dont know what else you can do. i agree that using laxatives as a long term solution is not wise. what does your doctor think of this? do you start feeling uncomfortable after a couple days? like constipated? if not, then maybe its just something you can learn to live with as long as its not posing any health risks or pain.

You need to get your body more regular by eating more natural fiber. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and veggies. Also switch to whole wheat bread and other things that contain fiber. Do not use laxatives as those can be habit forming. Since you obviously don't get enough fiber in your diet you should use a fiber supplement but why not try the new one out that you can sprinkle on food or into food? Also you need to sit on the toilet every morning after breakfast for about 5 minutes whether you go or not just to try to get your bowels retrained to a regular pattern.

No, it's not normal, I'd say drink more fluids (not caffeine, it dehydrates you) and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables and exercise daily if you don't get that much normally everyday. And ask your doctor. Taking laxatives all the while is not a good solution, if you have a problem with your intestines like colitis or appendicitis laxatives can cause a potentially fatal rupture. There are some medical conditions that would explain it but Id'd be tempted to say it's your diet and activity level.

No, I normally only go once every 3-4 days. Longest was 11 days but then I did seek treatment for constipation!

Your problem is your diet. Poos should sink, not float. If they float, this indicates there is too much fat in the diet.
You should eat wholegrain foods, plenty of fruit and vegetables, drink plenty of water and exercise and you should see your bowel movements change.
Please stay off the laxatives. There is no need for them if the diet is right.

I think you are constipated. Try having BM more often. drink more water, maybe that will help. If that doesn't work see a doctor. That's the best advice I can give you. Hope that works.

Actually this activity is dependant upon your diet.
Confer with your parents, most likely mom in particular, to see if this was the way it was thru out younger years - if so, it is normal then.
If have lots of gas pain, etc - seek medical advice.

i don't know the specifics of your case, but i do know that a normal person your age (im around your age too) should have one at least once a day, that's what the healthy standard is apparently. go see a doctor

I think this is normal. As long as you are getting enough fiber, you shouldn't worry.
