I'm going to suggest the Squirrel Nut Zippers, even though I'm grossly unqualified in this genre and have only listened to said band in sampling their stuff. Their name is cute and they made me bounce up and down in my chair a little.

You could start with a Blue Note compilation, like "The Best Blue Note Album in the World" and take it from there... see what you like. Maybe Medeski Martin and Wood?

The Cradle of Sound. They played with BB King on New Year's Eve in my home town. I'm good friends with them and did their web site, they always draw a crowd.
