It would appear that science is not a favored subject. Ware is "blue" because of the color of light reflected from it. Water can also be a slightly different color because of the clarity of it in different situations.
The sky is blue because of the nitrogen in it being excited by solar radiation, to give a short answer.

Water is not blue. Its clear but gets the blue/green tint from the algae under the water as well as the reflection from the sky. The sky is blue for some scientific reason I don't have time to research but thats the way God wanted it and could have been His favorite color.

The sky is blue because blue light bends better then Red.
"blue bends best"
When electromagnetic waves (light) go from one medium to another they bend. So when sun light enters the atmosphere (more dense) from space (less dense) the blue wavelengths of the light bend more. It's call refraction. Same way a crystal works or a rainbow, though the bending of light is much more causing the entire spectrum of light to separate.

It is true, and the sky color arises becauses air molecules are more effective at scattering short radiation (blue) than long.
