I've always called them just plain old "fries."
That "freedom fries" crap was total BS. The French government can disagree with ours if it wants to.

That's funny. I just went to Johnny Rockets and their menu said American fries. I expected it to be like home fries or something like that but they were regular french fries. Guess they took that whole thing seriously. weird. It's the only place i've encountered that.

ya, the french are wimps though...the last war they won was against themselves..right? french revolution. ya, its back to normal...freedom fries and freedom vanilla sounded like horrible names of white rappers.
