Yes it is very normal its a reflux that helps them devlop her motor skills. I would suggest you go to www.webmd.com parenting section they have al types of info on baby's and development. I'm assuming this is your first child, my first I asked the same question and a few others as time went by. I still asking questions so just hang in there she will keep you guessing.

Yes, it is very normal. A new baby's nervous system is firing at a rapid rate and they don't have much control over their little arms and legs. They also get the hiccups and sneeze a lot because of this. Learning to use her arms and legs are all milestones she will reach during the first year. My second son is six months old now, and he is still figuring out how to get his little hands to do what he wants. If you want information on baby development, check out web sites like babycenter.com and parents.com

In my opinion your baby at this early age was in a tight place for 9 months and now your infant is free to move around and might feel like he or she is falling...or unprotected...so when you pick your baby up hold the baby close to you like reassurance they are safe and sound. They also like to be wrapped in a receiving blanket it keeps them warm and secure check with your pediatrician for some clues. Every parent goes through this and you are not alone. I was a Mom at a very early age and every move our baby made I freaked out! My Mom would always assure me it was natural...but it never hurts to ask your doctor just to be sure and to ease your mind. Best wishes for 2007 and also for being a new parent. Mama Jazzy Geri

Well at that stage of development, your child is probably exploring the movements that he or she has. If you are concerned though, you should probably make the baby a doctors appointment...though most children have a 6 week check up in anycase.

At one month, waving her arms and kicking her legs without being much in control of it (for example, accidently slapping herself in the head) is totally normal. She is learning how to use them, and it will be several months before she can reach out and purposefully grab something.

Yes I think so. They dont know how to control their musules at this stage in their life so their arms usually just wiggle all over the place.
