will congress raise the minimum wage? if so what will they raise it to and about when would it take effect?Thanks

The new minimum wage will be $6.85 an hour. It only applies to full time employees that work over 32 hours every week.

They probably will, by a dollar or probably two over about two years. Part of the increase would probably take effect within a couple months of passage by congress and senate, and signing by the president.

In some states, it won't matter, since some states already have a significantly higher minimum wage that the federal.
