I am 17 and when i was 15 or 16, i masturbated about my stepdad. He wasn't my stepdad yet but still ..they were engaged. I feel like i have to tell my mom because she is like more of a best friend than a mom and if you have a best friend she would most likely get mad at you for doing that about her boyfriend/husband. People keep telling me that i don't need to tell her. I know it is normal but i feel like i have to tell her and i don't know why. and ever since i have been obsessing over thinking i should tell her, i keep wondering if i would actually ever do something with him which i wouldn't but it's just thoughts since i am obsessing. What do i do? How do i get over it?

If you only fantasized about him, that's your business and you don't need to tell anyone about it. Make sure you don't act on your urges, though, as that would be an inappropriate relationship and would hurt your mother (and probably your stepfather) a lot.
If you did it in front of him, however, that's something you should definitely tell your mom about.

First, don't tell your mother!!!!!!!!! I mean what good would that do? Think about it, she'll be the one feeling awkward if you tell her something like that. If I were you, I'd forget about it and move on. Some things are better left in the past. Even if you wanted to be with him it could never happen. That's just too twisted.

This is not normal. You need to stop because he is offf limits to you, i suggest you get a man or boy of your own and obsess over him better yet, You need to pray and ask GOD to forgive you for your behavior and also ask him to remove these sick feelings you have.

DON'T TELL HER!!!!! Nothing good will come of it. Chalk it up as a childhood "crush" and let it go. There is no need to beat yourself up over a fantasy. We all have strange ones we don't understand. not the greatest advice but I hope it helps.
