what do you think about the people and goverment of iran?

im interested to know the real idea about the iranian culture people etc.

I think that Iran gets worse rap from people who don't understand the culture. For example, Iranian women drive, hold down jobs, etc. Those pictures of women being oppressed and dressed in burkahs are usually from Saudi Arabia, or other Middle Eastern countries.
Besides, you have to appreciate a culture that will drive a criminal who raped or committed murder out into the dessert with no shoes and a single canteen, in the middle of the Iranian summer, and tell him that if he can make it back alive then his sins will be forgiven. How's that for justice?
I also think that you cannot blindly believe all that you hear from the news. My boyfriend speaks Farsi fluently, the native language in Iran, and can vouch on the mistranslations that are assigned frequently to Iranian comments.
Do I support some of Iran's decisions on how they run their country and government? Do I like some expressed views towards other groups and cultures? No, but I also don't believe in characterizing an entire "culture" or "people" as bad. There's two sides to this coin.

Their goverment is chosen by their people. What the fuzz. They have their right to be part on the world. As long as they don't do any harm to others is fine with me. It their rights to develop nuclear power reactor for their people. they have the capability.
