Im sure if he is a pet he doesn't have rabies.. Small animals just nip every now and then, Dont worry too much clean the wound keep it doctored and thats as much as you can do. If you are truley worried about your sister take her to the doctor. Or if you are worried about you hammy take him to the vet you might wan't to do both just incase but it doens't sound too serious hun.

ps. get your little hammy some cardboard to chew on maybe he wont nip so much if he has something else to chew on. Hamsters teeth are constantly growing and they need things to chew on to ware them down.
good luck!

No, they don't get rabies, but they bite if they're really scared or if they think your sister's hand is food. My hamster has bitten me quite a few times, so although you can't get rabies it is better to wash your hands after handling food then getting bitten. If they bite and blood comes out that might be a big problem because germs will get in, and you should check with a doctor just in case.

No, it will be fine. However, I should warn you that hamsters are known to bite. They are very nippy and a girl around 4 should not be handeling them. A better pet for most children is a rat. Rats are more friendly, a hell of a lot more intelligent, better pets, and they don't bite.

no. you cleaned it and you would most likely find symptoms right away.
