I was on the pill last year before I got pregnant (Marvelon) and went to see a doctor because I was getting bad cramps, spotting blood, headache and nausea, he told me I was allergic to the pill and took me off it without any tests, after I quit taking the pill, i only spotted for a day, then the middle of October I was getting symptons of being pregnant I took a test and it turned positive with in seconds i went to the doctor for a blood test and my hormone level was a bit higher then average at the estimated time of pregnancy. They told me my dues date was June 13th, and my son was born May 23rd he was 8 lb 1oz they say he was 3 1/2 weeks premature, could it be that i was already pregnant at the time they took me off the pill and that was why i was sick, not a allergic reaction at all?? Has this happened to anyone else???

change your Dr. all those sings you had was pregnancy signs and I do not think your baby was premature.

I have know 2 women who got pregnant while on the pill.... however - there are many many factors to consider here. Coming off of the pill usually means your hormones will take a bit to stablize.
When I got pregnant with my first child, my due date was March 1st. He was born February 12th at weighed 7lb 5 oz.

This is the same thing that happened to me, I was on trycyclin though. They told me that I was allergic to it too and then about 2 weeks later found out I was pregnant. So yes it can happen, my daughter was due February 17 and born January 19 weighting 6lbs 2oz. So I guess that it can happen and we are proof.

Sounds like it to me..You don`t see many 8lb preemies!! Would have been bad if you did carry him to your due date...I definitely think you were already preggo when you were taken off the pill..

Yes that could have very well have been the reason. you body could have been telling you that if you didn't get off the pill that you would loose your child.
