how old are you and where do you get your info. saddam ruled with an iron fist when any man spoke out against him he would have his guards rape the women in his families then kill them in front of him and then kill him.
saddam killed hundreds of thousands of his own people. he would use poison gas on entire towns killing innocent men, women and children. if you ever saw how horrible a death it is to die from mustard gas or nerve gas you wouldn't think it was safer then then it is now.
president Bush isn't killing our troops, deaths happen in war and the US has an ALL VOLUNTEER military. everyone who joins knows that there is a chance that they will have to fight and maybe die, so maybe instead of feeling sorry for them, you should hold your head up and feel proud and humble that they are fighting for your right to express how you feel without having to worry about you and your whole family being put to death for it.
it's not the people of Iraq that is out of control it's the terrorist that is out of control and killing our troops. i know liberals call them insurgents or freedom fighters, they can call what ever they want they are still terrorist. it's not just our troops they are killing either, the terrorist are killing a heck of a lot more of their own people than they are our troops, A LOT MORE. the terrorist are killing anyone they "think" might be helping our troops

The Iraqis were not living in peace during his rule. They lived in fear. Last time I looked, living in fear was not exactly peaceful or stress free. The fact that you're saying Saddam's rule was peaceful while critizing the U.S for fighting a war to keep your butt free from terror is more than ironic. Be thankful you live in a country where you can spew your unthought out opinions and not be killed for them. I guess in your book, that would peaceful, right?

saddam kept things under control because he killed people by the masses, innocent men, woman, and children! it was prolly more dangerous then, than it is now!!! the only reason that it seems so, dangerous is because i troops are there and we here what happens to them everday!!
