If it is oral, she accidentally killed herself.

Marilyn Monroe was found nude, dead in the bedroom of her Brentwood, California home clutching her telephone by her live-in housekeeper Mrs. Eunice Murray on August 5, 1962. She was 36 years old.
Her death was ruled as an overdose of sleeping pills and a "probable suicide" by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.

I've watched a couple of documentaries about people who think it was some kind of conspiracy (the ideas people have! Holy crap.), but these documentary folks have all come up with the same conclusion -- accidental overdose of barbituates. The evidence seems pretty strong that she didn't mean to kill herself, and is pretty flimsy in the way of proving homicide.
