Numerology Question?

Question

I recently saw an article on numerology that showed how to assign numbers to the letters and add up the value of the consonants in the name you were born with. This was supposed to be similiar to the ascendent or rising sign in astrology. Does it affect anything that I've completely changed my name?

Yes is does in so many ways you have to know the right meaning for what you name means as it does effect your life path I have heard of a person that changed her name which made her fate come quicker and I don't want me to explain the out come
