one day i saw my goldfish floating on top of the water, it wasnt moving or breathing. I tryed poking it and soon started to hurt it to see if he was dead or not. Later i found out my fish was dead and when i was about to throw it away, suddenly it moved and was alive again....
can anyone explain to me why this happened??

Your poking and prodding was fishy C.P.R., just like pumping the chest of a human, it probably had heart failure. Or, maybe it drowned, lol, you're a miracle worker.

im not sure wats goin on but sometimes some animals including fish slow down their body to appear dead incase of predators, now i dont kno how smart goldfish r, n wll they only have a 3 second memory, so as for ur fish. its kinda weird.

Sometimes it appears dead but is in a coma like state just shy of death. The poking and prodding just awoke it somewhat and nature took it's course. Be glad you did not have to give it CPR!

It happens! Your fish was dead but the shake it got in it's heart because of your poking and hurting, it started its heart to beat again.
So your fish got alive.
But it is also a luck for your fish to get alive only because of u. U became a live savior of a fish I'm sure it will say thanks to u . So congrats, the fish is swimming only because of u .
