I'm not a particularly big fan of American football, even though I grew up in Texas, where football is practically the national religion, and lived there for the first 42 years of my life. I don't expect to ever see women in professional football, simply because of size; there have been a few female kickers on college teams, but as far as I know, there's never been a female player on a professional team. Most women are much too small to make effective players in a world of 250-300-pound male players. As to why there's no all-female league - I suppose because there's no demand for it, meaning no money to be made from it, and in the U.S., sports is ALL about the money. When and if there's money to be made, it will probably happen, but it seems unlikely to occur, as far as I can tell. I personally wouldn't care to play the game, either with males or females. It holds no appeal for me whatever. Football is largely about aggression, and while women will fight to DEFEND something, in general, women aren't nearly as aggressive as males (and please note, I'm not talking about ASSERTIVENESS - that's an entirely different quality). Testosterone is a hormone that promotes and even engenders aggression, and women simply don't make much of it - for which I, personally, am quite thankful. I wouldn't want to walk around the world wanting to kill half the people I see.

yes there is a girls football league, it is pretty fun to watch to i have a friend that plays for the team. The girls team she is on is called the Pittsburgh Passion, not sure of all the other teams in the league but i know there is like 6 teams
