Don't become an anorexic. There are plenty of models who aren't a size 0. I'm a model and I'm a size 3 and there were plenty of models who didn't get hired because they were unhealthy.
So being unhealthy won't make you a model.

You are just 13 years old. It's very important for people around your age to eat healthy and nutritious food so you can become a beautiful healthy woman when you get older.
I understand that you really want to be a model but do you want to look like Nicole Richie who looks like a skeleton???
I'm a 32 year old woman whose height is 4 feet 11 1/2 inches and whose weight is between 91 and 96 pounds. And my dress size is usually a 0 or double 0. But depending on a brand, my size could be a 2. My BMI is between 18.4and 19. People would say that I look skinny but I don't look like a sick person like Nicole Richie because I enjoy eating food. But I don't gain weight so easily though I eat a lot of food because I'm just born that way.
I don't know how people become a model but I just don't think that it's healthy to be a model if you need to go on an extreme diet to just fit into a size 0 dress. That's just not right. I'm sure there are different kinds of modeling that you can do. So pick something that is appropriate for you. You are just 13 years old. You should eat healthy food for your growth and be healthy.

if you are 13 and a size 3, then be that way. You are at the stage of puberty and so should entertain more weight at this stage. You really don't wanna stunt your growth. You don't wanna go back to a size 0. Some modeling agencies can accept your size. Also, as you get taller, things will get better. Loosing weight now can affect your height.

You'd make a great model... your typing sure says you'd make a grerat model, learn to spell. Anyways. No, culture today focuses to much on extra skinny people. They need to get normal sized people in because not everyone is that small. I think size 3 is perfect for you. I'm your height and I'm like a 4 or 5 only because I have wide hips, but I am not fat. It will ruin your health. The diets are bad for you, and you almost starve yourself. Please don't become one of those models, your life will be awful, and yes it will ruin your health, if you are too skinny, your hair will fall out, and your period stops coming, etc. You should research it. But remember its your choice.

Isn't it past your bedtime?
Your mom is right, a size zero is too small. At 13, you shoud be more concerned with friends, school and boys to be modeling.
When I was your age, and maybe things have changed singnificantly in more than 8 years but I was involved in after school activities like fun sports, I hung out with my friends, etc.... why don't you try some of that instead of dieting to become something you're much too young to do anyway.

Size 0 is insane. I'm not even kidding. They don't know what they're talking about and you need to check out some new companies. You'll just look sickly... even for a model- trust me there. I know.

sry but i have to say that i agree wit ur mom on this. your still growing and this is a crucial time to really take care of ur body. but if u really want to become a 0 i say u dont over do it, media these days talk so often abuot eating disorders and it makes many girls feel uncomfortable about there bodies. this usually leads many girls to eating disorders, the fact is having an eating disorder is not a situation you want to be in. some ppl might overlook it but really its a life and death situation many people dont know wut its really like. so i say u just eat healthy, cut some calories but make sure u dont do it too drastically. youll be in modeling status in no time :)

Poor silly girls...how readily do they fall down and sacrifice themselves before the temple of ideal beauty, never knowing how little the rest of the world really cares if they are size 0 or size 6.

Oh my god. You're too young to be weight obsessed! I know I'm gonna sound like your mom, but you should tell the model people that it's very unhealthy to keep pressuring girls to be thin and it promotes anorexia and bulimia. Don't be pissed, I've known a great deal of my friends go through this. This shouldnt be taken lightly. But if you don't believe me... Go right ahead.
