This depends on the state where you live.
In about half the states, the age of consent for sexual relations is 18 years old. Anyone who has sex with someone under 18 is guilty of a crime, and pregnancy is considered evidence of that crime.
In the rest of the states, the age of consent varies, but the usual age is 16. There are a variety of provisions for someone having sex below 16, so you may not be out of the woods, but your chances of criminal prosecution are lower if the girl is over 16 in these states.
You should investigate the laws in the place where you live. By the way, crossing a state line usually doesn't help, because taking a minor across a state line to commit an act that would be illegal in the first state is usually illegal, as well.

Legally, yes; however does the law prosecute everyone, no, not unless her parents push the issue especially if there is a huge age difference, it happens frequently. The argument she "wanted to," is not valid, since the law recognizes a minor cannot make an a true informed choice, they aren't fully "cooked," they don't have allot of life experiences to realize what they're getting into. I would get a job, any job, maybe two, kids aren't cheap, but they need to eat, and need stuff. Don't forget the hospital bills for having a baby. If she is say 17 I would seriously look at doing the right thing, and getting married, doing the right thing, not for you, but for her and the baby. Welcome to the real world, just tough it out, and make the best of it. At the end of the day the only true innocent is the baby who had no choice in the matter. Best of luck.

You are trouble if it is an unplanned pregnancy no matter what. Are you in trouble with the law? This depends on what is the age of consent is at the place the act took place. The Age of Consent for girls varies around the world from 14 to 18 years of age. In Australia it is 16 years old but I believe it is older in some parts of the US.

age of consent varies from state to state. some states are 18, some are as low as 16. Age of consent, to simplify the term, is the age at which the state believes a person can have sex. Having sex with someone under the age of consent would set you up for statutory rape charges, which could be brought against you by the parents and the state. if the female under age of consent gets pregnant, more than likely even if the parents don't wish to bring charges against you, the state is almost certin to take you to court over the ordeal. you could face prohbation or jail time depending on the severity of things.

Pregnancy out of wedlock is never a party, but the age issue depends on the age of sexual consent, how much younger than you she was, and what state you're in.
For example, I live in Pennsylvania. The age of sexual consent is 16, and the illegal age gap is 4+ years. So that means a 16-year-old can have sex with a 19-year-old, but sleeping with someone who's 20 is illegal because of the age gap, or ANYONE sleeping with a 15-year-old is illegal because they're under the age of consent.
If you fall out of the legal consent or age gaps in ANY state, you're facing a possible charge of statutory rape, REGARDLESS of whether or not she wanted to have sex. So yes, you CAN get in trouble if the law's agains you.
