I know I am in the minority, but I was very disappointed with Gears of War. The game was ridiculously short. I beat it in 3 days, albeit on the Casual level. And that was not by playing insane amounts everyday.

The cover ability was a neat feature though, although sometimes you would be trying to run away, and get to close to a wall, and the game would make you take cover against it. I got killed a few times by a Berzerker thanks to this.

I also wished there was more guns available, and more of a variety on each level too. It seemed like if you dropped your Sniper Rifle for a Hand of Dawn, then you really had to wait a long time, and go through a bunch of missions before you had a chance to pick it up again.

I dunno, the game didn't seem to do anything for me. It had it's good points, but it is literally the only game that after I beat it, I was at EBGames 20 minutes later trading it in, because it didn't have any replay value for me. I'm sure the multiplayer version is really fun, but I'm just not into that.

I will say it's one of the best beceause there aren't many out there that were different when they came out. Every game that came out last year it was always a 2, 3. They were just repeats in a series. So Gears of War was a shock to the 360 community in my opinion.

I find a LOT of flaws in the game, and was honostly pissed with the game but eventually got over it but I really don't even play it that much. Like the gameplay was WAY too short, insane/hardcore I beat in 9 hours or something. It was just really easy once you get used to it then go onto the other levels of difficulty it didn't seem like the "monsters" didn't really change in hardness.

Plus the online is alright and alright only. I don't like that you can't go into games with your friends-ranked-, or that severs are somehow always messing up. You click on a person's game and uh oh the servers down or there offline? When it's my friends game and I'm talking to them in private chat. I just hated that part. Or if someone leaves your game and the host isn't on your side of the team in ranked games you don't get your points. That is such bullshit.

I think the only thing I reallyy like about this game is doing glitches lol. I actualy like getting out of the maps on this game and messing with the weapons, it's actually really interesting and different from Halo.

But I really wish that Gears would change how they do things online, make a patch or something. Or atleast if they make it serious enough and make a 2nd game to fix it how Bungie is with Halo 2.

So far GOW is the best game out on 360 due to being a true 1080p (progressive=that's what the p stands for) game and the most graphical, on-line play is good although they need to patch it at some point in time.... When your in a lobby and waiting to start a game and someone leaves the next person that comes in will only be able to hear you speak you can`t hear them, a slight problem with on-line is that not everyone knows how to play what is basically a team based game n you end up with internal TEAM squabble`s and of course everyone hates "frag taggers"..... If you don`t have it you should think bout putting it in your collection. I may sound negative to the game but this is not so as I do enjoy sawing the Locust hoards into little bits and it`s fun too.....

I most def do, there are some flaws but it is a greatttt game. One flaw is that when trying to run away using A, u will get stuck to walls if go to close and die sometimes. However I also believe that it is compared to Halo on a large scale. For instance people believe that having to reload after shooting with a sniper is bad. That was only the bad side and the rest is just amazing. The campaign is awesome and fun, the graphics are amazing, and i mean come on...a chainsaw and a gun in one, thats just awwwesome. I would most def say gears is the best game yet.

I think that this is by far the best Xbox 360 game.
For starters it is a 3rd person shooter which is just a preference of mine. Also the single player/multiplayer campaign is very fun and has alot to it unlock other Xbox shooters such as Halo. The third this is the online play. I really like this because of the 3 different styles of play and the ability to swap in and out weapons for the map.

Gears of War is as I heared a really awesome game but with a few minor flaws that can be overlooked. But there are also many other 360 games that are just as good that you could also call best game on 360 like...Call of Duty 2, Condemned Criminal Origins etc. But nonetheless, Gears of War remains one of my top picks next to Final Fantasy and Resi

All you have to do to realise how amazing G.O.W is is play it right after or right before you play F.E.A.R.. there is no comparison. G.O.W is hands down the best game made for Xbox360 by a long long way. Its the first title i have ever bothered to play through more than once. In fact i have played it through 3 times now by myself and once in co-op. The online play is just as addictive with the only minor flaw being that they could have had a larger variety of maps.

The closet game to gears of warfare is a sprint game stated as uncharted 2 how have u not hear of it it has an identical technique you cover and then shoot besides the shown fact that it has standard human beings not aliens or regardless of gears has so i might get uncharted drakes fortune and uncharted 2 those are the closets
