So my oeriod finally came back on nov. 30-dec 5, but during that week of dec 5 i had unprotected sex. my period for this month wsa due on the 2nd and it didnt come, so i was wondering could this be depo side effects or a possible pregnancy. i go to the doc on the 23rd, but i need some advice, maybe someone else went through this also, oh i took a test 2 days after i missed my period but it came out neg.

It really depends on each person. I would say you have a fairly good chance at being pregnant. Especially since you were on it for only 3 months. I got pregnant during the 2 week "grace" period that you are supposed to have between shots. So, it just really depends. Good luck, which ever way it turns out.

I used depo for a while too, I didn't like the way it made me feel or act to others for that matter. My husband was starting to think it worked by turning the woman into a B---- so that there would be no sex. It took about a year for my periods to return to normal and about 18 months for the other horrible hormonal problems to go away. I don't have a good answer for you but it could be either. Could be side effects of depo easily. Or you could be pregnant already. Pick up a home pregnancy test so that you can be sure.

I was on the shot for 3 years and once i stopped taking it i became pregnant in a year. It usually takes 4 months to a year to get pregnant after stopping the shot but anything is possible.
You can take an at home test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant.
Good luck

I have taken the depo before, and i have talked to the Dr about how long ti stays in your system, he said it really depends on the person and how long you take it but told me it could be any where from a couple months to a year and a half to get fully out of your system and to where you are able to get preg ...although i wouldnt bet on it. If you are really worried go get a blood test.

I took the shot for a year and a half and finally got off it, i read somewhere its not good for the calcium levels in your boday and also bad for your bones just rumor though, I dont ahve any proof of that one.

More than likely it's the shot. Your hormones are all out wack from being on birth control and then not being on birth control. It takes a while for your body to get back on track. I also took the depo shot and hated it!!! I will never ever do that again.

I went thru the same thing my cycles were not the way they should have been and had to have the shot 1/2 month early. On the other hand they have refused to give the shot since my last preg. in 05 so you might want to check into that as well

Most likely its the shot. I was on it for a year and it took 2 years for me to go back to a regular cycle it really messed up my system. I did research on The Depo shot and found out that it was actually made for chemical sterilization in men. So please becareful when considering this shot
