they seem to be doing ok...but i've never had them so i dont know much about them.

oh i was always scared of the big pincher... lol hmm well i got them at the pet pet section..in their aquariums lol one died i dunno why, and yeahi read about thema nd they said you should have a good air circulation in the tank.

Please don't buy pet's at walmart. Crabs are cool, but in the past I've noticed they died in less than a year, until I made a platform to the surface. I had them for at least 2 years. I asked a pet store employee if they needed air and she told me no. I found them climbing the netting to get to the surface and hanging out. However, when my Oscars got big enough they became fast food!

Were the crabs supposed to be eaten or were they in the pet section? If you want to know more about them, you can ask the walmart people and they will tell you how to take care of them.

You can find Fiddler Crabs all along the beaches in Florida.
I used to catch them all the time when I was a kid, but, I never took them home...
They would be walking along the shore line...you walk up to catch one, and some would run and hide in the holes in the sand, some of them would just walk with their pincers (claws) waving at you...
What they eat? I don't know....fish maybe?
But, they do breath air, and they love their sand. they dig holes pretty deep, it takes some digging to dig them up.
The ones with the BIG claws don't hurt when they bite...it's the ones with the smaller claws..they HURT..
