I am 19 5'7 and my brother is 16 about 6'2 my other brother is 12 and 5'11. I'm shortst one in my family, so my Q is do i have a chance to put on some inches? My family says no because i use to play football and lifted ALOT so thay said my growth plates stoped...but i dont know if thats for my shorts coming.
so when do males start growing and when will they stop?

They use to say, in the old days, first one out of the oven is going to be small. That is you. But that is not always the case. My daughter worked in health care for years and said that what your parents tell you about playing football and lifting a lot is true so you might not grow any taller. Maybe doing yoga would turn that around. I know I grew until I was 24 years old. I'm female but I don't think that matters.

Boys have their largest growth during the ages of 11 and 21. You have one or 2 years left, dear, but it sounds as though your genes have already pre-determined that you will be shorter than your brothers. I'm sure it has nothing to do with your lifting weights and everything to do with your genes.
