I was talking to a friend and she told me that she realized that in every relationship, one person always cares about the other person more. I asked her how you measure that and she said there is usually never equal amounts of love which is not measured but ever so apparent based on one's efforts. Its always one person liking the other one more even though they both like each other. How valid is this statement?

Sounds valid and real to me, although the roles can shift.

I'd believe so, when referring to humans.
