I caught a report yesterday while flippin around and the reporter was saying for the past 25 years, every Friday after they do morning prayers the people chant, " Death to America"
Is this true and if it is why has it been allowed to go on for so long?

I do believe the report I saw was on Cnn and as I am well aware of the undeniable fact that our news sucks and we get half the story if that, in point is why I asked this question. In this report there was footage of mass amounts of people in the streets during prayer chanting death to america, as well as a graffite of the statue of liberty as a skull as well as other horific but undeniable sites. Being as it is said that our western culture is in oppistion to there very beliefs and that our support for israel an enemy of theres is a threat to them, and there known support for hezbollah a known terrorist should we not be worrried or as your saying is this really just an act of political gain and solicited news coverage and irans people really do not believe this and are not opposed to our culture?

Iran funds terrorism all over the world, they are funding terrorists in Afghanistan, Iraq, and are working with North Korea. Yes, they have been chanting for years, but they have also been schooling their children, about hate, intolerance, and radical Islam.
If you don't think that Iran is a threat...well, think again. I'm sure that the very moment that they figure out how to build "the bomb", we won't see it tested in Iran, but rather Israel, England, Spain, or The USA.
It is unfortunate that most people don't see the threat until it's too late.

No people want to be western more than Iranians. How many times have you seen people protesting in 3-piece suits? Immediately after 9/11 Iran provided America with valuable intelligence pinning the attack on Bin-Laden and tracking him to Afghanistan. At that time, Iranians took to the streets to protest for America.
Iranians do have to shed the yoke of religious control of government (just as we need to fight conservative Christians from overthrowing America’s secular democratic republic); however, Bush has done everything possible to empower the religious conservatives in Iran with his girly-man empty threats.
How many Americans (including the ‘village idiot who became President’) even know that Iranians are not Arabs and their language is not Arabic? People who do not know even that much have no right to an opinion about anything in the Middle East because they are too ignorant to know what is going on.

everywhere you go there are different people, the gov't and the majority are sometimes different. such is the case in iran. the gov't doesnt like american but the people do. infact iran is alot like american and i would know i am iranian. people in iran like americans but the thing is that just like rasmaili sed, its all politics why do u think that the shows that tell the true side to every story come on at 1 am? all the shows that show the truth are on late and the media is used to back up the gov't which is ran by people who are influenced by corporations . basically the rich are greedy and it may not seem like it but invading countries is done for reasons other than good. excep afganistan that was a thumbs up. but wat about the countries in africa, y dont we help them? instead we go for iraq, 1/25 of the population moved out of the country since we invaded. its for oil. it may be denied and you mite think its just a rumor but there is a truth in every rumor. btw there are aliens on the moon ; )

Its just a way a Government can induce overwhelming influences on their people, and brain wash them into hating people they have never met. North Korea also does the same , but in its own way, of idolizing their "Dear Leader", what a crock, and thinks Americans also wants to kill them..

How shocking, who could say such a thing, and why would they, is this not the land of the free, be what you want to be, after all do we not walk around in total ignorance of the rest of the world, and why when we go to Europe or any where else for that matter do they laugh like madmen when we make such dumb naive comments and regard every menial thing as " DUH! MAN THAT'S REALLY AWESOME!!!

No this is not true. It is unfortunate that we live in a time where business people try to educate us into positions to make more money for themselves instead of in times past when intergrity and honesty meant something.

I think certain Iranians do. And others don't.
There was a show on a little while ago that showed the kind of TV they get in Iran. Things that constantly bash anything the country doesn't like. Propaganda. (Blatant).
So I dunno, I guess you'd have to go there and look around. See if you get killed.
