3 years ago today and I'm still not divorce yet. I finally filed the papers Jan. 19.06 - the court then gave me this letter stated "Status conference" and a bunch of "memorandum that needed to be filed?" It's set Jan. 16.07(which is coming in a few weeks) I would like to prepare for this if anyone could give me heads up- that would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Status conference could be an early settlement hearing. Are you being represented by a lawyer? If not I really recommend you get one. If you cannot afford one, go to the legal aid dept, in your area. I would hate to see you not get what you deserve.

Dang, didn't you get a lawyer? I know it can be done without a lawyer but it doesn't sound like you know enough about it. Take my advice - G-E-T - A - L-A-W-Y-E-R
