How do I get a totally flat tone out of my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Amplifier???

I recently purchased an amp simulator that I will use with my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, but I can't get seem to get a totally flat tone out of my amp to make the simulator sound right. Any suggestions???

Yes, the flat tone of an amp is when you have the same level of bass, treble, and middle! I usually set these three control knobs at 50% each one
